In the SURMOUNT-1 clinical trial, the average weight loss after 72 weeks was 15% for the 5 mg dose, 19.5% for the 10 mg dose, and 20.9% for the 15 mg dose.

Important Information

Mounjaro 2.5 mg/0.5 ml may cause thyroid C-cell tumors. Inform your doctor if you have a personal or family history of thyroid cancer or a condition called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia (MEN) syndrome, which causes tumors to develop on endocrine glands.

Before using Mounjaro online

Disclose if you have or have ever had pancreas or kidney disease, gastrointestinal problems such as difficulty digesting food, or a history of diabetic retinopathy.

Let your doctor know if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or currently breastfeeding. If you become pregnant while taking this medicine, inform your doctor immediately.

How should I use Mounjaro 2.5 mg/0.5 ml?

Mounjaro 2.5 mg/0.5 ml pen comes as a solution (liquid) in a pre-filled pen designed for subcutaneous (under the skin) injections. It is typically administered once a week, with or without meals, at any time of the day.

Follow the prescription label instructions carefully and seek clarification from your healthcare provider if necessary. Use the medication exactly as prescribed. Avoid altering the dosage or frequency without medical advice.

Your doctor will likely initiate treatment with a lower dose and gradually increase it, not more than once every four weeks.

You may adjust the day of the week you administer the injection, provided at least 3 days have passed between doses.

Insulin may be administered in the same general area as Mounjaro but should not be injected adjacent to one another. Additionally, Mounjaro and insulin should not be mixed in the same injection.

Mounjaro effectively controls type 2 diabetes, but is not a cure. It may take 4 weeks or longer to experience the full benefits of this medication. Do not discontinue use without consulting your healthcare provider, even if you feel well.

Storage
